This was one of the easiest fantasy 5 star reads I’ve had this year. I needed about 12 business days to process the ending of this book.

Lacie does an amazing job expanding on her world, introducing new characters (um Capt. Mcdreamy?) while progressing her story. I absolutely loved the scary mystical monsters sprinkled throughout! While romance is not the heart of the story, it doesn’t take away the human complexity that each character brings.

The Aurorian Trilogy is an absolute must read for anyone who is into dark/high fantasy. This is a beautifully written series that really runs at the perfect pace and will keep you captivated.
